It is close to the historic port of Whitby and Captain Cook, Heartbeat country, and CBeebies "Old Jack's Boat" . Within yards are a local pub serving excellent bar meals, plus a range of small cafes, restaurant, art gallery, general store and craft shops.

Staithes is a popular seaside resort in Yorkshire, England. It is located not far from Port Mulgrave, Hinderwell, Runswick Bay, Loftus, Skinningrove, and Whitby and is one of over 200 towns and villages in Yorkshire in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available.
